Lauren Shapiro is a versatile individual who has had the privilege of holding several positions including, being an intern with an award-winning nonprofit organization, a suicide intervention specialist with IMAlive, a mentor of a child of a prisoner, a computer technician at Staples Canada and a high school sports coach. Through these valuable experiences, Lauren learned how to be a dedicated team player who is capable of innovative thinking and strategizing as well as an independent worker responsible for the coordination of large projects. Lauren is excellent at working under pressure, in tense situations and within emotionally-charged environments. By utilizing skills acquired through previous experiences in conjunction with her dedication to learn, Lauren makes an ideal employee.
Currently, Lauren is a Forensic Psychology doctoral student at Alliant International University’s California School of Forensic Studies in Irvine, California. Lauren expects to complete her PsyD in Clinical Forensic Psychology in 2015. Lauren’s research interests include juvenile offenders, sex offenders, at-risk youth, LGBT youth, and suicide.
